Sunshine State Westie Rescue (SSWR) Adoption Information:
If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful Westies please take a few minutes to visit our web site and read our FAQ's Frequently Asked Questions Familiarize yourself with all the factors affecting your decision to adopt a rescued Westie. Sunshine State Westie Rescue will conduct a phone interview in addition to personal and veterinary reference checks.
A Home Safety Check will be required prior to approving any adoption. A tax deductible DONATION is requested at the time of adoption. These donations are the lifeblood of the organization and we can't rescue Westies without them. We operate under the 501(c)(3) of the Mid Atlantic Westie Rescue; their suggested tax-deductible Adoption Donations range from $250-$500. The Adoption Donations are not for a particular dog, but go toward rescue and care of incoming dogs. If you think you could be the perfect Forever Home for a SSWR Westie, please fill out and submit the Adoption Application *** PLEASE MAKE CERTAIN TO FILL OUT EVERYTHING COMPLETELY!***
Incomplete applications are filed until one of our Volunteers has time to follow up and obtain the missing information, unfortunately, in an all volunteer organization, could take quite a while.
